PEMCCO Logistics Services, LLC (PLS), is a leading Delivery Service Provider of Amazon packages in the Hampton Roads area.
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Project Manager to implement the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the package delivery service operations of our growing logistics services company.
The Operations Project Manager implements the direction, coordination, and evaluation of related operations for the company and carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with organization/company policies.
Responsibilities include interviewing, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Monitors and analyzes delivery performance and develops strategies and plans for increased performance improvement.
Responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and improving our services to manage customer expectations and maintain customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Facilitate and provide guidance and coaching to management teams in Operations matters, directing team members on Operations functions.
Develop and execute comprehensive operational plans and programs to achieve company revenue and logistics services objectives.
Plan operations strategies in support of organizational and customer goals and changes.
Lead the service delivery team, manage conflict, and ensure the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
Resolve a broad spectrum of general administration and program problems not covered by precedent or established policies.
Ensure that operations are conducted safely and within program and policy guidelines and agreements.
Recruit, hire, train, manage (and release as necessary) logistics and delivery team members.
Direct personnel in performing day-to-day logistics and delivery service operations.
Conduct and analyze operational strategic and tactical processes covering schedule, performance, and costs.
Develops internal programs, plans, and procedures to ensure direct report managers follow through with provisions of various department-wide programs including equal employment opportunity, promotion plans, career development, performance appraisals, counseling, and related services to achieve equitable treatment of team members.
Assist in developing, monitoring, and maintaining operational budget.
Negotiate with suppliers, partners, and customers for complete understanding and expectation of services provided and required.
Ensure continuous process improvement and high-quality, high-performing services.
Analyze operation team member-level performance and create cost-effective strategies and plans to improve performance efficiency.
Plan, direct, and manage diverse department projects encompassing comprehensive information technology enhancements to support improved operational activities, efficiency, and enhanced customer service delivery.
Maintain positive relationships with customers.
Required Education and Experience BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field Seven (7) or more years of experience in executive leadership roles Seven (7) or more years of experience managing a complex enterprise's human resources, finances, operations, and organizational strategies.
Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree in business administration or relevant field Appropriate Certifications in management, logistics, and/or delivery service industry (Management Certification, Program Management Certification, Certified Management Executive Certification.

Required Qualifications Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.
Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs.
