The Practice Supervisor is assigned to a practice site where there is not Office/Practice Manager on-site, or as an assistant to the Office/Practice Manager for a large practice (at least 15 providers).
S/he is responsible for overseeing day to day operations, maintaining and increasing patient flow, employee supervision, and patient satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis.
Any other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission and abide by the organization's values.
Assists all CRMG physicians with EMR troubleshooting.
Assists PSR staff with insurance questions related to registration.
Helps maintain facility and equipment to ensure cleanliness, sterility and operational ability.
Ensures practice is following CRMG, HIPAA and state and local rules and regulations.
Assist with scheduling contracted service providers (Lab, Radiology, Housekeeping, etc.
) - practice liaison
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families and coworkers.
Interacts with others in a positive, respectful and considerate manner.
Promotes cost containment and efficient use of facility resources.
Contributes feedback on staff evaluations for CRMG employees.
Oversees the employees' orientation and mandatory education program.
Provides education as needed for staff; ensures staff attendance.
Participates in continuing education and other learning experiences.
Seeks new learning experiences by accepting challenging opportunities and responsibilities
Maintains schedules for maximum productivity, filling schedule gaps and looking for opportunities to increase productivity.
Facilitate patient complaints by using the electronic medical record to view previous visits, demographic information, and notes placed in chart regarding patient care.
Document complaints and report to Office/Practice Manager.
Maintaining and tracking clinical inboxes/tasks in EMR
Help with referrals
Closing of referral loop
Chart audits/quality control – be able to determine clinical or administrative errors
Keeping voicemail clear
Checking office email
No Surprise Billing Responsibilities - Auditing schedules four business days prior to appointments for insurance eligibility.
Prepare the good faith estimates and send them to patients, if necessary, via email or mail.
Back up Kronos time keeping if necessary
Prepare bank deposits timely
Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services.
Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work schedule/location when necessary to ensure patient care.
Supports the hospital's mission to provide consistent, quality health care services by demonstrating respect for all patients, families, guests, fellow employees, and medical staff.
Displays courtesy and sensitivity when interacting with customers, peers and others.

Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in health care setting
