*Position: Kitchen Lead/Line Cook *
*Job Summary:*
Aloha!! We are currently seeking a Kitchen Lead to join our team.
The Kitchen Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality food to our customers.
The ideal candidate is a team player, responsible, passionate, and energetic, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
As a Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing inventory, leading and training cooks and preps, and ensuring that our food meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
*Responsibilities:*
* Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines.
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
* Clean and maintain stations, practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
* Understand and properly use all equipment in the station.
* Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
* Lead and train kitchen staff, including cooks and preps.
* Ensure that all food is prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
* Maintain proper rotation of produce to ensure freshness and reduce food costs.
* Verify portion sizes and consistency to maintain high food quality standards.
* Collaborate with management to achieve restaurant goals and uphold brand quality.
* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Kitchen Manager.
*Requirements:*
* Good communication and organization skills.

* Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
* Ability to stand and walk for a majority of the work shift.
* Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
* Previous experience as a lead cook or in a similar role is preferred.
*Qualifications:*
* Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
* Previous experience as a prep or line cook.
* Food safety certification, such as ServSafe, is a plus.
*Skills/Aptitudes:*
* Excellent English language and professional communication skills.
* Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
* Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Self-motivated and organized.
* Commitment to quality service and food knowledge.
*Notes:*
* 90-day probation period for all new employees.
* Job types: Full-time, Part-time.
* Pay: $15.
00 - $16.
00 per hour depending on experience.
* Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week.
