* *SUMMARY OF POSITION:* The Kitchen Manager will assume responsibility for coordinating, planning, and preparing meals for Agency clients.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and all equipment and supplies and maintained, handled, and stored according to food safety standards, and for performing other duties assigned by the Executive Director or Clinical Administrator.
*Benefits:* * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Professional development assistance * HRSA Loan Repayment/Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance *PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* The Kitchen Manager will work with the Executive Director and/or Clinical Administrator to plan meals and order and maintain supplies to ensure that client meals are prepared timely and in accordance with dietary guidelines and restrictions.
The Kitchen Manager is responsible to ensure that the kitchen and all equipment and supplies are clean, sanitary, properly maintained, and stored.
The Kitchen Manager reports directly to the Executive Director or the Clinical Administrator as assigned.
Essential Functions A.
Plans and prepares meals for clients; B.
Maintains kitchen, kitchen equipment, and supplies in a clean, sanitary, and orderly manner; C.
Prepares purchasing requests for food, supplies, supplies, and equipment necessary to prepare planned meals for clients and provides to Program Manager or COO; D.
Ensures health and safety standards are followed; and E.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Agency Expectations A.
Adhere to all policies and procedures; B.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families, and staff and adhere to all HIPPA rules; C.
Displays a positive and professional image and attitude in all relationships with staff, clients, families, peers, and in the community: D.
Participates in committees and in the Quality Improvement Plan, Strategic Plan, etc.

Participate in safety programs, etc.
as requested; F.
Encourage staff to make suggestions for improvement for all Agency operations.
*POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:* A.
High School Diploma or equivalent; B.
Current Food Handler’s permit; C.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant; Other Requirements: Applicants will be required to authorize a background check and submit to drug testing.
Failure to do so will disqualify applicants for consideration for the position.
Work Environment: The Kitchen Manager will work indoors in the kitchen.
The job will require 5-6 hours per day standing and cooking, 2-3 hours per day sitting, and 1-2 hours per day working on a computer or computer equipment.
The position requires cooking skills; organizational skills; oral and written communication, respect for privacy, and knowledge of health and safety rules and regulations on a regular basis.
