The items I look for:
Comics! Usually 1970s or older, but will make the exception on graded comics.
Military items 1970s and older.
(Identified uniforms and medals, helmets, knives and swords etc.
)
Military related items (this includes bring back items, souvenirs, scrapbooks, etc.
Basically items acquired by soldier or sailor while deployed or in a war zone but not directly military)
I am a historian! So.
.
.
Historical items (this includes ANY part of Virginia or US history, no matter how dark it was.
I have historical items from Black Panthers to Japanese internment camps to Jewish Prisoners/religious items to shop keepers and bus driver/taxi drivers).
America is eradicating its history and I want to preserve it, all aspects.
(Uniforms, medals, documents, letters, road tokens, anything.
)
Toys.
Pretty much any, but I like 1990 and back.
(Tin toys, board games, action figures, playsets, pre-1960s dolls and marionettes, metal trucks and vehicles, etc) Pretty much the only items I dont collect in this category is modern toys, Barbies and Hot Wheels.
Antique religious items.
ANY religion (Jewish, Christian, Muslim.
Etc).
(Crucifixs, bibles, paintings, menorahs, medals, rosaries, menorahs, etc.
Paintings and art.
SIGNED paintings, bronzes/brass sculptures, sculptures.
I don't collect any factory made, Chinese or department store paintings or art.
I don't collect prints, even if they are signed or numbered.
I prefer art to be pre-1960s.
But make exceptions on Abstract or Fantasy art from the 1980s.
Clean records.
Vinyl records that are by well known and popular artists.
Some damage is fine, but minimal scratching and scuffs.
If scratches are raised, record will skip.
