Cornel West get on the ballot! If you're tired of the two party system, this is the year to break it.
2024 is the most doable year so far for an Independent to win the State, especially with so many candidates running, the "first-past-the-post" system gives candidates outside the two parties an outsized chance to win the whole thing! Please volunteer to help, even if you only have a couple a hours here and there, or if you want to dedicate more time.
Below are the ways to get involved: VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES AND ROLE DESCRIPTIONS Region Captains (3) - West, Central, East - Find a County Chair for each County in Region - Collect completed signed Petitions from County Chairs - Ensure timely delivery of Petitions to County BOEs via registered mail, give receipts to Data Committee - Ensure County Chairs are being supported and on track; provide support to any County Chair who is falling behind Committees Festivals Committee - identify as many Festivals as possible across the State - Administer and update a Festival spreadsheet - Book tables at Festivals/Events - Coordinate with County Committees for volunteers to attend Festivals - Coordinate with Campaign to publicize petition signing events at Festivals/events County Committees - Name a County Chair for as many counties as possible - County Chairs should: 1) identify a co-chair, 2) identify as many volunteers and signers as possible within local/personal networks, 3) reach out personally to signed-up volunteers in County (or surrounding counties without a Chair) provided by the Campaign 4) identify County Chairs for surrounding Counties 5) Coordinate with Festivals Committee to attend local/regional Festivals and events 6) Coordinate weekly/biweekly local signature collection events Data Committee - Work with Region Captains to review petitions for accuracy and legal defensibility prior to submission based on guidance from Counsel; make modifications as needed - Hold and archive copies of all completed petitions - Hold and archive receipts from county BOEs - Pull and make available necessary data for Campaign use
