Job Summary
The Marketing Analyst will support the Assistant Director of Web & Digital Strategy in the creation and maintenance of performance marketing campaigns and reporting.
This position requires a balance of creativity and analytical thinking to create new campaigns and measure the impact and ROI of ongoing efforts.
Efforts will be heavily focused on first-party digital channels such as paid search, paid social, display, and video advertising.
Candidates should be able to digest, interpret, and tell a story with data.
This position will collaborate with Enrollment Management, Institutional Analytics, Information Technology, and other key stakeholders across the organization.
Essential duties will include:
Work with leadership to concept, launch, manage, and report on ad campaigns.
Provide frequent and regular lead performance and marketing performance reporting.
Design, implement, and measure effectiveness of marketing tactics.
Audit ongoing operations of ad campaigns, including search query audits, campaign setting audits, and bid monitoring.
Uncover trends and key points within data through analysis of reports and raw data.
Develop an understanding of strategic initiatives within marketing as well as external market trends to provide insights to key leaders within marketing, enrollment, and institutional research.
Conduct ongoing trend and root cause analysis at a granular level to explain variances.
Participate in analytic projects such as spend analysis, media mix modeling, web traffic analysis and multivariate testing design to measure and optimize marketing efficiency.
Consistently look for improvement opportunities in reporting, tools, and techniques to improve overall quality and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience required
Certifications in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Facebook Blueprint preferred
Two years of experience in performance marketing
Experience with DMPs, DSPs, ad networks, Tableau, and PowerB
Business, creative, and technical acumen
Expert Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, graphs, and advanced formulas
Proficient writing skills
Experience with CRM databases and web analytics tools
Experience with statistical packages and reporting packages, with the ability to pick up new software and databases quickly to uncover gaps and build reports
Candidate must have:

Keen problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and to develop actionable recommendations
