Job Summary Regent University’s School of Communication and the Arts is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be energetic storytellers and media makers with demonstrated production experience across multiple areas of expertise with the ability to teach and support students pursuing motion picture art and industry above/below the line.
These could include screenwriting, directing, and other specific fields in the candidate’s areas of technical expertise.
An appropriate terminal degree is preferred at the start of the appointment.
Ideal candidates will have a record of college-level teaching in media production, a curiosity and trajectory for storytelling for emerging media forms, and a broad knowledge of cinema history and industries.
The candidate will have the ability to situate film into wider cultural, industrial, economic, and spiritual contexts.
Expectations include: 1) a dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning; 2) a record of or potential for academic scholarship; 3) a commitment to Regent’s core values of Excellence, Innovation, and Integrity.
