POSITION PURPOSE
The SCRAM Equipment Installer will perform equipment installation, removals and maintenance of SCRAM equipment.
Responsible to act as Court Liaison and general support for daily operations of the SCRAM System Electronic Monitoring (EM) program which include Alcohol Monitoring (ankle monitor and a hand held device), House Arrest and GPS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Equipment Installation and Maintenance-Daily Tasks
Performing equipment installations and removals for each servicing location and county jail
Performing equipment maintenance which includes battery, faceplate and strap changes
Promoting EM referrals from courts when participants are sentenced to EM
Collecting EM monitoring fees from participants during equipment installations, maintenance and removals
Entering participant's personal data and management notes into supporting systems during equipment services and from all office visits or phone interactions
Make phone calls and schedule appointments for equipment services that include installations, maintenance and removals.
Answer participants' questions re the proper care and maintenance of the EM equipment
GENERAL DUTIES:
Informing clients of current and past due amounts for electronic monitoring as appointments are made
Performing physical inventory counts and perform reconciliations with inventory records
Answering phones and be willing to work in physical locations if needed
Contacting participants when EM scheduled communications have been missed
Preparing Compliance and Non- Compliance Reports as required by courts or agencies
Preparing Agency and Court Reports using formats requested on each client monitored and being able to testify in court on the prepared report
Working closely with Business Development Manager, Operations Manager and Staff to perform miscellaneous duties
Performing other duties as assigned
Expectations of the Job:
Working in a small or single office space while performing SCRAM Systems tasks
Interacting with participants who are on probation or parole for multiple DUI or other criminal acts requiring locations tracking
Collecting money from participants who may be unemployed or relying on others e.
g.
family or friends to pay fees
Explaining the do's and don'ts to participants who are court ordered to be on electronic monitoring
Treating participants with dignity although may not approve of actions requiring electronic monitoring
Interacting with court personnel -judges, attorneys, court administrators, DA's, ASA's
Understanding that failure to comply with EM requirements could require participant being incarcerated
Knowing that this job is not to fix the participant but to only administer/comply with the court order for electronic monitoring
