Career Opportunity We are currently seeking candidates for a Controller position.
This position is responsible for compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures, the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, and managing the annual financial audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the preparation of the company’s financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Prepares various general ledger account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements Responsible for developing and maintaining adequate processes and procedures for the accounting functions Oversees month end and year end closing Ensure proper, accurate, and complete accounting transactions are posted in the accounting system of record Responsible for ensuring accounting transactions are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Contract Auditing Agency (DCAA) Creation and compilation of direct and indirect budgets, forecasts, and actual expenses for the entire company on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Collaborates on general liability, workers’ compensation, and Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance renewals and amendments Responsible for workers’ compensation reporting and audit Ensures all payroll taxes are filed in a timely manner, to include bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payments and returns Prepare and submit 401(k) census information and information required for audit Coordinate with Human Resources to provide support for annual 401(k) audit Prepares year-end and DCAA audit data as well as annual company tax information Leads year-end audits with external auditors and DCAA audits Prepares the Incurred Cost Submission Collaborates with the Lead Program Financial Analyst regarding direct cost allocation and contractual items for accurate Project set up Responsible for maintaining information housed in the accounting system of record Creates and maintains various reports for managers Stays up to date on changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Stays up to date on Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidance and regulations Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Travel This position includes a low level of travel.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required Bachelor’s degree, additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree Seven years of accounting experience Three years of experience with government contracts is desired Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Strong analytical skills are required In depth knowledge of Excel Must have managerial skills and able to function in a supervisory role Ability to function in a leadership role Ability to function as a team player Must be able to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks Ability to flex between multiple work tasks Must possess excellent organization and communication skills Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Independent, forward, and analytical thinker, who proposes solutions to leadership and/or the finance team Ability to work independently and in a team is essential U.

Citizenship required Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
